Concept
Some things were always meant to stand next to each other. The challenge was building a genuine collision between worlds that don't usually meet: painterly stillness pulled from different centuries and traditions, and the noise and motion of a living, present-day city. I worked to blend these figures, classical, mythological, and Persian, into real urban locations in a way that felt deliberately jarring rather than seamless, letting the mismatch itself carry the meaning.
Anachronart reimagines the everyday urban landscape through the eyes of classical painting, weaving together figures from historical and mythological artworks, portraits, antique subjects, painted creatures, alongside Persian iconic imagery, into contemporary streets and sights. Rather than sticking to a single era or source, the work pulls characters from different times and traditions and lets them coexist in the same frame, forming a personal, layered portrait of a city and its history at once.
